My job as a public relations and communication specialist includes teaching, consulting institutions/organizations at local, national and international level and managing projects and research in its broader sense.

Teaching is for me a possibility to get in contact with young and international students eager to learn new aspects of this profession. Teaching is an important aspect of our society. Teaching should help new generations to create a critical mind, to become more active in the different aspects of their lives. Scholars should not passively assimilate everything, but they should discern what it is knowledge from what it is only an opinion.

Consulting institutions/organizations and managing projects are two aspects, which are very much interrelated one with the other. Most of the time, organizations ask me to investigate a special issue in their organizational activities, and often I find myself involved with the development of the whole project. For me consulting it is not only investigating, analysing, proposing, implementing and measuring communicational activities, it is a human interaction of exchanges between theoretical knowledge and field experience, it is a mutual understanding and a growing relationship. It is something a bit closer and human than traditional business relationships.

Finally research is what I like the most. It is the most challenging and sometimes the most controversial aspect of my work. Research is often described as an active, diligent, and systematic process of inquiry aimed at discovering, interpreting and revising facts. This intellectual investigation produces a greater understanding of events, behaviours, or theories, and makes practical applications through laws and theories. The term research is also used to describe a collection of information about a particular subject, and is usually associated with science and the scientific method. Research for me is all of them, but it is mostly a possibility to interact with other scholars and researchers who have different cultural backgrounds and experiences than mine. It is through this continuous sharing, questioning and re-evaluating my position that I progress in my research and as well as a person, since I learn everyday from all of you something different and special.
